Amman, June 30 (Petra) — The Jordan International Search and Rescue
Team has rescued a three-year-old child from beneath the rubble of a
collapsed building in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, after the
child had remained trapped for six days.
A spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said the rescue
was carried out while the team was conducting operational search and
rescue missions in Caracas, where the child was found alive beneath
the debris with stable vital signs.
The spokesperson said the team worked for several hours to carefully
remove the rubble using specialized rescue equipment while
continuously monitoring the child’s condition through thermal imaging
technology, enabling rescuers to safely extract the child without
injury.
The child received immediate first aid from the team’s physician and
paramedics before being transferred to the nearest hospital. The
relevant local authorities were also notified of the incident.
