Amman, June 1 (Petra) –Jordan’s Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) handled 1,599 incidents of various types over the past 24 hours, including 1,333 emergency cases, 129 rescue incidents, and 137 fires.
In a statement, the CDD said the average response time for emergency cases was 7: 15 minutes, while the period to deal with rescue and firefighting incidents stood at 7: 35 and 7:37 minutes, respectively.
Affirming its “high readiness” to handle various types of incidents, the CDD urged citizens to adhere to public safety procedures and report any emergencies via the unified emergency number (911).
