Amman, July 16 (Petra) – Jordan Customs Department (JCD) announced its anti-smuggling division, in cooperation with security agencies, seized 30,000 packs of counterfeit e-cigarette juice during a recent special operation.
In a statement, the department noted its continued efforts to combat smuggling and protect citizens from fake and illegal products, which pose a threat to public health.
Additionally, the JCD stated anti-smuggling customs personnel also seized 300 packs of cigarettes in another case. The seized items were confiscated, and the cases were referred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.
On its vision, the JCD said its teams are continuing to implement “intensive” inspection campaigns across the Kingdom to prevent entry or circulation of any counterfeit or violating goods to protect the citizens’ health and the national economy.
