Jordan’s energy projects forge ahead within ‘rigorous’ plans-Kharabsheh

Amman, May 27 (Petra) – Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Kharabsheh, on Tuesday affirmed continuation of “efficient” energy project implementation, based on “diligent” plans to align with goals of the Economic Modernization Vision, in a bid to ultimately enhance sustainability of the Kingdom’s energy sector.

Talking to the ministry’s celebration of the Kingdom’s 79th Independence Day, Kharabsheh said this national occasion constitutes an incentive to exert more efforts and achieve further accomplishments.

The minister also noted Jordan has always been” strong and resilient” thanks to the wisdom and aspirations of the Hashemite leadership and efforts and sacrifices of Jordanians.”

Meanwhile, Head of the Petroleum and Oil Shale Directorate, Bahjat Adwan, said the Kingdom’s energy sector has “successfully” enhanced energy supply security and diversified its sources within “ambitious” policies.

Adwan noted Jordan’s energy sector has witnessed a “qualitative” shift in recent years, represented by expansion of renewable energy projects and the Kingdom’s “strong” entry into green hydrogen investments, reflecting the Kingdom’s “commitment to a sustainable and environmentally friendly future.”
