JPC, Tamweelcom sign MoU to enhance postal financial services 

Amman, July 15 (Petra) – Jordan Post Company (JPC) and Jordan Microfinance Company (Tamweelcom) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance joint cooperation in using electronic and postal financial services.

According to a JPC statement, the memo was signed by JPC Director General, Hanadi Tayeb, and Tamweelcom CEO, Bassem Khanfar.

Under the memorandum, Tamweelcom will provide e-payment services and disburse loans at post offices across the Kingdom.

The statement added that the memo aims to meet customer needs by leveraging the “advanced” infrastructure and electronic and postal financial services at Jordan’s post offices.

The move will also enable Tamweelcom to provide all its financial services to citizens “smoothly and adequately,” in accordance with the “highest standards of accuracy, speed, and quality, which would enhance financial inclusion.”
