Kabashi Honors Al-Jumou’iya Martyrs, Says “War of Dignity” Will Continue Until Victory

Omdurman, 7 February 2026 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Deputy Commander-in-Chief, General Shams-Eddin Kabashi, affirmed that the war sparked by the rebellious Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia is a war for all Sudanese, not limited to any specific region, and that achieving victory is the goal of the entire nation. Addressing residents of Al-Jumouiya in southern rural Khartoum, Kabashi praised their resilience and sacrifices as “a historic model,” noting their early awareness of the conflict and readiness to confront it. He vowed that the “War of Dignity” will continue until the country is fully liberated, commending the population’s support for the armed forces.He honoured Sudanese martyrs in general and those from Al-Jumouiya in particular, saying their steadfastness secured areas including Omdurman, Jebel Awliya, and Salha, preventing enemy infiltration. Kabashi recognized the community’s service-related demands as legitimate rights, not Favors, and pledged government action, highlighting the strategic importance of local agricultural projects, particularly Al-Jumou’iya irrigation scheme.Kabashi said field visits aim to assess citizens’ conditions and hear their concerns directly, in line with leadership directives to support the outskirts of the capital. He pledged follow-up on all service and agricultural projects, noting that matters exceeding state authority—such as airports, compensation, and federal strategic projects—will be addressed in coordination with central and local authorities.Conveying of the TSC President’s greetings, he stressed unity under the slogan “One Army, One People” and affirmed the continuation of military operations until victory is achieved.Khartoum State Wali Ahmed Othman Hamza commended the armed forces, police, intelligence services, popular resistance, and joint forces, praising the strong support of the Sudanese people. He described the visit as a gesture of gratitude to citizens and to honor martyrs, particularly in Al-Eisawiya, which suffered heavy sacrifices, noting that Al-Jumou’iya resistance accelerated recent victories.The Wali highlighted Al-Jumou’iya as the state’s primary livelihood project and promised solutions for electricity and irrigation maintenance. He also announced exemptions for rural residents in recruitment for the education and health sectors, urging qualified locals to apply. Local leaders, including Mak Mohamed Ajib Al-Hadi and Mak Ghanem Al-Tayib, reaffirmed full support for the armed forces in the “Al-Jumou’iya War of Dignity,” noting that Al-Jumou’iya stance has been clear since before the outbreak of the conflict. They called for rehabilitation of the vital Al-Jumou’iya agricultural project and repair of the deteriorating roads hindering civilian movement. BH/BH
