Amman, March 1 (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah II and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, during a phone call on Sunday, called for joint action to restore calm in the region.
His Majesty condemned the attacks targeting Jordanian territory and Arab countries, stressing that the Kingdom will take all necessary measures to preserve its security, stability, and ensure the safety of its citizens.
For her part, the European Commission president condemned the unjustified attacks, which constitute a violation of state sovereignty and international law, and affirmed the European Union’s support for Jordan and partners in the region.
