Amman, June 23 (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah II sent a cable of condolences to Syria President Ahmad Al Sharaa following the terrorist attack that targeted Mar Elias Church in Damascus, killing innocent civilians and injuring others, according to a royal court statement.
In the cable, His Majesty extended condolences to the families of the victims, and wished a full and speedy recovery to the injured.
The King affirmed that Jordan stands by Syria in the face of all forms of terrorism and extremism, according to the statement.
His Majesty also sent a cable of condolences to Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East.
