New York, Sep 23 (Petra) His Majesty King Abdullah II met with Syria President Ahmed Al Sharaa in New York on Tuesday.
During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly and attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, His Majesty reiterated Jordan’s support for Syria’s efforts to maintain its security, stability and sovereignty.
The King emphasised the need to step up efforts to end the war on Gaza, alleviate the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip, and halt the escalation in the West Bank.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh attended the meeting.
