Amman, Jan. 19 (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah II on Monday met with the permanent office of the House of Representatives, which includes the speaker, his deputies, and assistants.
During the meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, His Majesty urged the continued development of political party action mechanisms in a manner that serves the public interest and strengthens citizens’ trust.
The King noted the need for ongoing coordination between the House of Representatives, the government, and the Senate on national priorities in the coming period.
The meeting also covered regional developments, as well as Jordan’s efforts, along with its active partners, to restore peace and stability.
For his part, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mazen Qadi affirmed that serving Jordanians is at the heart of parliamentary work, highlighting the House’s commitment to exercising its legislative and oversight role to the fullest in service of citizens.
Other members of the House’s permanent office spoke about key domestic issues that will be addressed in the coming period, in cooperation with the Senate and government.
Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh attended the meeting.
