Amman, February 28 (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah II and Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed developments in the region during a phone call on Saturday.
According to a royal court statement, the two leaders condemned Iran’s targeting of Jordan, Qatar, and other Arab countries, emphasising the need for an immediate end to the escalation, and the necessity of utilising dialogue to restore stability in the region and avoid further tensions.
The two leaders also emphasised the importance of maintaining bilateral coordination on necessary steps to protect the security and stability of both countries and sovereignty of their territories.
