Amman, Mar. 6 (Petra)– His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call from Finland President Alexander Stubb on Friday, during which they discussed the importance of de-escalation in the region.
His Majesty reiterated that targeting Jordan and a number of countries in the region constitutes a violation of their sovereignty, and threatens to exacerbate the crisis, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing diplomacy and dialogue to resolve tensions.
The King highlighted that the situation in the region should not be exploited to impose restrictions on Palestinians and impact the situation in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza.
For his part, the Finnish president condemned the unjustified, indiscriminate attacks on countries in the region.
