Amman, March 26 (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call from Iraq Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al Sudani on Thursday.
His Majesty reiterated the need for an immediate end to the ongoing war and for all parties to respect the sovereignty of states, emphasising that Jordan would continue to take the necessary measures to protect its citizens, security, and sovereignty.
The King called for stepping up international efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire that restores stability to the region.
The call also touched on the need for coordination between the two governments and the countries’ private sectors, in order to overcome obstacles and facilitate trade, in service of mutual interests.
