Amman, May 27 (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah II, in a phone call on Tuesday, discussed regional developments with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
His Majesty called for continued coordination between Arab countries and the European Union, particularly on working to achieve just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two-state solution.
His Majesty emphasized the need to step up international efforts to immediately stop the war on Gaza, commending European calls to resume the flow of humanitarian aid and ensure it reaches all areas within the Strip.
The call also covered ways of enhancing cooperation between Jordan and the EU, particularly through the recently signed Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership agreement.
