Amman, Mar. 5 (Petra)– His Majesty King Abdullah II and Syria President Ahmad Al Sharaa discussed on Thursday, during a phone call, the dangerous developments in the region.
His Majesty reiterated his condemnation of Iran’s targeting of Jordan and a number of countries in the region, asserting that protecting citizens and preserving Jordan’s security and sovereignty is a priority.
The two sides emphasised the need to utilise dialogue in order to avoid exacerbating the current crisis.
The call also touched on developments in the West Bank and the need to de-escalate tensions and protect the freedom of worshippers to access Al Aqsa Mosque, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
