Kuwait, August 12 (QNA) – The state security apparatus had successfully foiled a terrorist plot targeting one of the critical facilities in the country, the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.
The Ministry added that a citizen was arrested before carrying out the plot following precision surveillance operations, explaining that investigations revealed that the defendant had been trained in manufacturing explosives and drones with the intention of using them in the plot.
Legal action was taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authorities for further investigation and appropriate action in accordance with the law, the Ministry noted.
The Ministry emphasized that security agencies are continuing their preemptive efforts to monitor and confront any activities or plots that would imperil the nation’s security and stability, stressing that it would deal resolutely with any suspicious activities in accordance with the law. (QNA)
