Lebanese Army Calls on Citizens to Delay Return to Southern Areas

Beirut, April 16 (QNA) – The Lebanese Army Command called Thursday on citizens to delay returning to southern villages and towns until the ceasefire agreement takes effect.

It also urged them to avoid areas where Israeli occupation forces have advanced.

In a statement, the Army Command stressed the importance of adhering to the instructions of deployed military units for their own safety.

It also warned against encountering unexploded ordnance and suspicious objects left over from the Israeli aggression, and advised reporting any such objects to the nearest military center.

Earlier Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced an agreement on a 10-day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which is expected to take effect at midnight tonight. (QNA)
