Beirut, April 13 (QNA) – Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health announced on Monday that the death toll from the Israeli offensive on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 2,089.
The ministry said in a statement that the number of injuries has also increased to 6,762.
In a related development, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes struck the town of Kfar Reman, as well as the towns of Kafra and Yater in Bint Jbeil district, and also carried out an airstrike on Sahmar in the Western Bekaa, with no immediate reports of casualties.
The Israeli offensive on southern Lebanon began on March 2 before expanding to include Beirut’s southern suburbs and parts of central and eastern Lebanon, forcing more than one million people into displacement and worsening living conditions across the country. (QNA)
