Beirut, August 12 (QNA) – The relentless attacks carried out by the Israeli troops hamper the Lebanese military deployment and civilians’ return to the south, the army said in a statement on Wednesday.
The military stated that it continues to conduct its missions in the south, adding that it faces formidable challenges due to the assaults that impede the completion of the deployment and people’s return.
The Israeli troops keep breaching the existing understandings, the latest one was the blowing up of the Zawtar Al-Sharqiyah municipality building, a school, a nursery and several homes in the town, the statement said.
The statement added that this act confirms that Israel wants to pursue its devastating approach of inflicting the most substantial damage on southern villages and towns and keeping the consolidation of stability at bay.
Meanwhile, the Israeli warplanes pounded the town of Mansouri and flew extensively over Beirut’s airspace as far as the southern suburbs.
Several people were wounded due to the ongoing Israeli armed aggression against southern Lebanon, despite the signing of the US-brokered framework deal last month. (QNA)
