Amman, Dec. 24 (Petra) — Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives Mazen Qadi on Tuesday received Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan, Shahin Shakir Oglu Abdullayev, to discuss issues of mutual interest, particularly parliamentary relations.
Talking at the meeting, Qadi affirmed the “strength” of bilateral relations, noting the need to further enhance ties at all levels by creating “broader” opportunities for mutual investment.
Qadi said Jordan, under His Majesty King Abdullah II’s leadership, is “committed” to achieving security and stability in the region, adding that the Kingdom believes in the two-state solution as the path to ending years of tension and conflict.
For his part, Abdullayev praised Jordan’s role, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, in regional issues by consistently advocating peaceful solutions to various crises.
The diplomat also commended His Majesty’s positions aimed at promoting regional security and stability.
On future steps, the ambassador called for strengthening joint cooperation to serve common interests, particularly by expanding economic and investment cooperation.
