Amman, June 10 (Petra) — A man has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his brother following a family dispute in Ma’an Governorate, according to the Public Security Directorate.
The victim arrived at a local hospital already deceased from gunshot wounds, prompting an immediate investigation by Ma’an police, Public Security spokesman said Tuesday.
Investigators quickly identified the shooter as the victim’s brother, who had fled the scene and was initially considered a fugitive. Following an intensive manhunt, police tracked the suspect to a location outside Ma’an Governorate, where he was apprehended.
During the arrest, authorities recovered an automatic firearm allegedly used in the shooting. The suspect subsequently confessed to shooting his brother during what police described as a family dispute, according to the spokesman.
