Suva, February 22 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale struck on Sunday south of the Fiji Islands, located south of the Pacific Ocean.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the earthquake was located at a depth of 653.8آ kilometers.
The Fiji Islands are located in an area called the Ring of Fire in the Pacific Ocean, which is subject to frequent earthquakes that can sometimes be powerful. (QNA)
