Amman, Oct. 6 (Petra) — A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Monday, bringing readings close to the seasonal average. The weather will be mild across most regions and moderate in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with low clouds appearing at times. There is a slight chance of light, brief showers early in the morning over limited parts of the southwestern highlands. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate, occasionally becoming active in desert areas.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, another slight decrease in temperatures is expected on Tuesday. Mild weather will continue through Tuesday and Wednesday in most regions, while conditions will remain moderate in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, accompanied by scattered low clouds. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate, picking up at times.
Temperatures are forecast to edge down further on Thursday, with mild conditions prevailing in most parts of the Kingdom and moderate weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Increased low cloud cover is expected, and light morning showers may occur in parts of the north. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate, becoming occasionally active and stirring dust in desert areas.
Today’s maximum and minimum temperatures are forecast as follows: 29C and 15C in east Amman, 27C and 13C in west Amman, 25C and 12C in the northern highlands, 24C and 11C in the Sharah highlands, 33C and 15C in the desert regions, 30C and 15C in the plains, 34C and 20C in the northern Jordan Valley, 35C and 21C in the southern Jordan Valley, 34C and 22C at the Dead Sea, and 33C and 21C in Aqaba.
