New Delhi, Jan. 30, 2026 (SUNA) – Minister of Energy, Engineer Al-Mu’tassim Ibrahim Ahmed, praised the Indian IMR Electricity Company for its significant support to Sudan’s electricity sector throughout the war.The minister commended IMR Chairman Rau Malek for supplying critical spare parts to power generation plants and for dispatching company teams from India to Sudan during the conflict. He also thanked Malek for accompanying the Sudanese delegation throughout the conference in India, describing the cooperation as substantial and timely.During the meeting, Malek presented IMR’s capacity to supply biogas production equipment to generate energy from waste in Sudan. The minister welcomed the proposal and expressed full support for implementing the project.The minister was accompanied by the Director General of the Thermal Generation Company, Engineer Modawi Abdulkarim.AS/BH
