Khartoum, June 16, 2026 (SUNA) — Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Professor Ahmed Modawi Musa stressed the ministry’s commitment to following up the performance of higher education institutions and addressing the challenges they face, in a way that enhances the educational and research process and ensures academic and administrative stability. This came during his meeting on Tuesday in Khartoum with the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Managil University, Professor Yousuf Fadlallah Hassan, where he received a detailed briefing on the university’s academic, administrative, and financial performance. The Vice-Chancellor reviewed the university’s key achievements over the past period, along with ongoing efforts to develop the learning environment and improve academic standards. He also outlined the institution’s financial and administrative situation, as well as its future plans aimed at strengthening its role in community service and supporting higher education in Sudan. The Minister praised the report, noting that it reflected the scale of work and efforts being undertaken at the university. He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting higher education institutions and enabling them to fully discharge their academic and research mandates in line with national development priorities. He said Al-Managil University represents a model of promising academic institutions progressing steadily toward achieving their educational and research objectives, adding that the ministry will continue to provide the necessary support for ongoing development efforts to enhance its capacity to fulfil its mission and serve society. For his part, the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Managil University, Professor Yousuf Fadlallah Hassan, affirmed that the university will continue implementing its development plans and improving the academic and administrative environment, noting that it is steadily advancing toward its strategic goals and working to enhance the quality of education and scientific research.BH/BH
