Port Sudan, Feb. 9, 2026 (SUNA) – Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Saif Al-Nasr Al-Tijani Haroun, has departed for the Republic of Turkey to participate in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Transport Ministers Conference, which will discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation in transport, infrastructure, and the development of regional connectivity networks among member states.During the conference, the minister is expected to present Sudan’s efforts to develop its transport sector across various modes, outline infrastructure modernization plans, and explore opportunities for partnerships and exchange of expertise to support development pathways and economic integration among ICO countries.Sudan’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening its regional presence and activating joint cooperation mechanisms in the transport sector, in a way that serves national interests and supports reconstruction and development efforts.BH/BH
