Minister of State for Public Sector Development, Jordan Press Association members talk media

Amman, May 20 (Petra) — Minister of State for Public Sector Development Khair Abu Saileik held a meeting on Tuesday with the head and members of the Jordan Press Association (JPA) on the JPA’s role in supporting journalism.

Abu Saileik congratulated the JPA leadership on earning the confidence of their fellow journalists. He emphasised the JPA’s efforts in advancing journalism and media professions and highlighted the importance of aligning with ongoing modernisation efforts within the industry.

He reiterated the Prime Minister’s directives to maintain open communication channels with the JPA and competent sectors. He assured the Association’s members of the government’s readiness to address their concerns, particularly those related to administrative development and adapting to key industry changes that can enhance workflow and working conditions.

JPA President Tareq Momani and Council members discussed various administrative and operational issues affecting media workers, emphasising their commitment to improving the work environment and professional standards.
