Tafila, Karak, April 11 (Petra) – During a tour of health facilities in the South of the Kingdom on Saturday, Health Minister Ibrahim Bdour said public clinics and hospitals across the Kingdom will soon be reinforced with medical, health, and administrative staff.
He said efforts are aimed to streamline services in health centers, reduce waiting time, and enhance quality care. He urged a comprehensive assessment of the infrastructure in health facilities, including maintenance and setting clear priorities to ensure uninterrupted services and improved work environment in these institutions.
Bdour stopped at eight comprehensive healthcare centers in Tafileh and Karak governorates, including the Tafileh Government Hospital, where he saw firsthand the workflow and learned about technical challenges, mainly staff shortages and variations in service levels.
Restructuring services will ensure the integration of roles among these centers and enhance their ability to meet the health needs in their respective areas, especially in remote regions, he said. This will help ease the pressure on hospitals and improve efficiency of the entire healthcare system, he added.
He stressed that field visits are key to monitoring performance, identifying needs, and supporting the adoption of swift and effective decisions that positively impact the level of healthcare services.
That approach aligns with the government’s strategy of enhancing fieldwork and developing direct monitoring mechanisms to raise the efficiency of public services and improve the responsiveness to needs across various sectors, said the minister.
