Khartoum, March 7, 2026 (SUNA) – The Ministry of Energy announced arrangements for fuel imports to ensure stable market supplies and prevent any potential shortages.The ministry explained that it has decided to proceed with implementing the fuel import program in cooperation with private sector companies, which have organized themselves into coordinated groups.According to a press statement, 30 companies have successfully completed the organization process, forming five groups that will be included in the import schedule in the coming period, while the remaining nine companies will be integrated once coordination procedures are finalized.The ministry emphasized that public sector companies will continue to play their role in meeting market needs and will intervene to cover any potential gaps, ensuring stable fuel availability across the country.It added that these measures come in light of developments and changes in global energy markets, assuring citizens that petroleum supplies are secured and that work is ongoing in coordination with all partners to maintain smooth and regular fuel distribution.BH/BH
