Doha, July 24 (QNA) – The Ministry of Transport (MOT) and Qatar Society of Engineers today signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of land transport.
The MoU aims to strengthen collaboration in R&D in smart transportation, studies, road safety, and relevant laws and legislation.
MOT’s Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transport Affairs Eng. Abdullah Saif Al Sulaiti, and Chairperson of the Qatar Society of Engineers Eng. Amna Mohammed Al Naama signed the MoU today at MOT’s offices.
The MOT is strategically supporting innovation in areas of transportation, and cementing collaboration, partnership and expertise exchange in step with national policies and infrastructure development plans, guided by the MOT Strategy, National Development Strategy, and Qatar National Vision 2030.
The MoU will contribute to enhancing national talents’ expertise in road transportation by developing specialized training and holding workshops, educational sessions, and upskilling programs for capacity-building in mobility innovation.
The personnel who perform engineering jobs at MOT’s Land Transport Affairs will also have access to training programs. (QNA)
