Port Sudan, April 18, 2026 (SUNA) – Governor of Darfur Region Minni Arko Minnawi reaffirmed commitment to continuing armed struggle until a “complete victory” is achieved. In a Facebook post, he said they took up arms to defend the people and protect the land and would not lay them down until victory is achieved, regardless of time or sacrifices. He described the war as “existential,” pledging continued fighting until the return of all displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees. He added that morale remains high and that victory is approaching, congratulating fighters in the North and South Kordofan axes and praising recent battlefield gains.BH/BH
