Mohammed VI Mosque in Conakry to Promote Moroccan-Guinean Ties (Guinean Official)

   This religious monument will strengthen bilateral cooperation which encompasses several sectors, Diawara told the press on the occasion of the official inauguration of the Mohammed VI Mosque in Conakry, stressing that the Kingdom is among the “privileged” countries for Guinea.

   Recalling that Morocco has always been alongside Guinea, the Guinean official expressed his deep gratitude and thanks to the Kingdom, as well as his satisfaction with the cooperation between Rabat and Conakry.

   He also underlined the major role played by the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema in strengthening cooperation between Guinea and Morocco, highlighting the training in the Kingdom of 500 Guinean imams who are currently assigned throughout the country to promote a message of peace and peaceful cohabitation.

   In accordance with the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may God assist Him, the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema, in coordination with the competent Guinean authorities, inaugurated the Mohammed VI Mosque in Conakry on the occasion of the Friday Prayer.

   The Mohammed VI Mosque in Conakry, whose construction works were launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may God assist Him, on February 24, 2017, was built according to authentic Moroccan architectural standards, with an accommodation capacity of more than 3,000 worshipers, over an area of one hectare.

The inauguration of the Mohammed VI Mosque in Conakry will contribute to promoting Moroccan-Guinean relations, Secretary General of Religious Affairs of Guinea, Karamo Diawara, said Friday.
