Amman, Jan. 9 (Petra) -Jordan Media Commission (JMC) and Beyond Universe XR Solutions, a pioneering company specializing in the development of immersive technologies, on Thursday signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) and cooperation to enhance awareness of future technologies on Metaverse and artificial intelligence (AI).
The memo, which was signed by JMC Director General, Bashir Momani, and the company’s founder and CEO , Thaer Fararjah, aims to develop media initiatives and projects that use modern technology to enhance digital media, and organize training workshops for the public and private sectors and the local community to qualify national workers in the 5th Industrial Revolution technologies.
Momani said JMC seeks to support Jordan’s media sector and raise “efficiency” of its resources, noting that the agreement reflects the Commission’s “keenness” to creating a media environment that keeps pace with technological development.
Meanwhile, Fararjah said partnership would enhance support for innovation in the AI field for Jordanian media, praising the JMC’s “vital” role in supporting the Kingdom’s media sector.
Under the memo, the two sides cooperate in developing digital platforms that integrate media and modern technologies, organize awareness campaigns, and conduct studies on AI applications in the Kingdom’s media industry.
