MoU signed to support Palestinian agricultural sector

Amman, Aug. 15 (Petra) – Head of Agricultural Engineers Association
(AEA), Ali Abu Nuqta, and Director General of the
Jordanian-Palestinian Company for Marketing Agricultural Products
(JPACO), Dr. Ibrahim Sharif, signed a memorandum of understanding
(MoU) to enhance cooperation and coordination, and open new horizons
for work in agricultural and professional fields.

According to an AEA statement issued on Saturday, Abu Nuqta said the
memo comes within the framework of supporting resilience of the
Palestinian people and strengthening capabilities of the
agricultural sector and agricultural engineers in Palestine.

He called for benefiting from the association’s expertise and
technical and professional capabilities to support efforts aimed at
developing the agricultural sector and enhancing its capabilities.

In turn, Sharif commended the association’s role in supporting the
sector and agricultural engineers, stressing the importance of mutual
partnership and coordination in developing capabilities and
competencies, exchanging expertise, and enhancing opportunities for
cooperation in agricultural and marketing fields.

As for its axes, the memo features cooperation in several areas,
mainly developing the sector operations, enhancing skills of
agricultural engineers, training and capacity building, exchanging
expertise, information, and technical support.

The two sides will also support agricultural marketing, value chains,
and exports, and collaborate on agricultural initiatives, projects,
events, and activities.
