Muscat, 29 Oct (ONA) — Muscat
Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 Index concluded today’s trading session at 5,572.66
points, registering a gain of 46.2 points, equivalent to 0.84 percent, from its
previous close of 5,526.47 points.
Trading activity witnessed a notable
contraction, with total market turnover reaching RO 52,769,615, representing a
substantial decrease of 42.4 percent compared to the previous session’s RO
91,646,491.
According to the official market
report released by MSX, overall market capitalization increased by 0.255
percent from the last trading day, settling at approximately RO 31.25 billion.
Non-Omani investor activity
demonstrated continued confidence, with purchases totalling RO 6,713,000,
accounting for 12.72 percent of total market activity. Their sales amounted to RO
6,026,000, representing 11.42 percent of market turnover. This resulted in a
net increase in foreign investment of RO 687,000, equivalent to a 1.30 percent
rise in foreign net investment activity.
