Doha, May 25 (QNA) – Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality has inaugurated Al Nofal Park in Thumama area as part of its strategy to increase green spaces and improve recreational facilities across the country.
The park, implemented by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), covers an area of 4,493 sq m and includes landscaped green areas covering 2,440 sq m, along with 52 trees.
Facilities at the park include walking paths, a 172m running track, a children’s play area and an outdoor fitness zone.
The park also features seating areas and public facilities aimed at supporting healthy lifestyles and enhancing quality of life for residents.
Assistant Undersecretary of General Services Affairs Abdulla Al Karani said the project forms part of the ministry’s wider efforts to expand parks and afforestation projects in line with Qatar’s urban development.
He added that the ministry was committed to developing parks and public facilities according to high environmental and service standards to promote sustainability, improve quality of life and provide integrated recreational spaces for residents. (QNA)
