Amman, April 7 (Petra) — The Muslim World League (MWL) on Tuesday condemned the entry of an Israeli minister into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli forces, describing it as a violation of the sanctity of Islamic holy sites.
In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the Mecca-based organization, Secretary-General Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa denounced the move as a serious escalation that inflames the sentiments of Muslims globally.
Al-Issa underscored the urgent need for the international community to uphold its moral and legal responsibilities to ensure an immediate halt to such recurring violations. He further emphasized that the actions constitute a grave breach of the status of the holy sites in Jerusalem.
