Makkah Al Mukarramah, May 24 (QNA) – The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned the so-called “Somaliland” region’s opening of a “purported ” embassy in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
In a statement Sunday, the MWL vocied its appreciation for the contents of the statement issued in this regard by the foreign ministers of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Turkiye, Pakistan, Indonesia, Djibouti, Somalia, Palestine, Oman, Sudan, Yemen, Lebanon, Mauritania, Kuwait, Algeria, and Bangladesh. The statements completely rejected any unilateral measures aimed at consolidating an illegal reality in occupied Jerusalem, or granting legitimacy to any entities or arrangements that violate the rules of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, and their support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Somalia, and their complete rejection of any unilateral measures that affect the unity of Somali territory or diminish its sovereignty.
The statement reaffirmed the MWL’s full support for the unity, sovereignty, and legitimate institutions of Somalia, which express the will of the Somali people. (QNA)
