Amman, Dec 14 (Petra) – Minister of Social Development Wafaa Bani Mustafa announced on Sunday that winter aid will be disbursed to all families benefiting from the recurring monthly financial assistance programs along with the December 2025 allocations.
Bani Mustafa, who also chairs the National Aid Fund Board, explained that the winter aid is provided once a year to help beneficiary families meet the additional expenses of the winter season. She noted that this year’s decision covers all families receiving recurring monthly financial assistance, totaling 248,210 households, with a total cost of nearly JD 5 million. The aid will be distributed based on the average income per household member.
The government has been providing winter aid to beneficiaries of the fund’s programs since 2016, under a Cabinet decision, with a fixed amount added to the regular monthly assistance provided to families under the National Aid Fund programs.
