Amman, April 12 (Petra) — The National Charter Party Bloc on Sunday called for expanded dialogue, consultations, and further studies on the draft amendments to the Social Security Law.
Bloc head MP Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh said in a statement that a clear formula is needed to address the issue of social security, striking a balance between the sustainability of the fund and the rights of contributors, particularly those with low and middle incomes.
He urged all relevant parties to conduct additional studies on the proposed amendments to improve the draft law, stressing the importance of engaging independent experts to provide practical and realistic solutions.
Al-Tarawneh also highlighted the importance of governance measures that ensure transparency and sustained oversight, including through the Audit Bureau and the supervisory role of the House of Representatives.
