KHARTOUM, Aug. 11, 2026 (SUNA) – The National Economic Management Committee held its second meeting in Khartoum Tuesday, chaired by Prime Minister Professor Kamel Idris, Chairman of the Committee. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism Dr. Graham Abdel-Gadir said in a press statement that the Prime Minister presented two memoranda during the meeting on regulating foreign exchange resources, export proceeds, and bank transfers. Dr. Graham Abdel-Gadir said the meeting directed the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS) to prepare a comprehensive study on the third memorandum concerning the National Economic Stabilization and Recovery Program. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism noted that the meeting stressed the need to expedite completion of the Central Bank of Sudan’s electronic application system, in coordination with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Communications, in a manner that strengthens the regulation of financial transactions. The meeting also stressed the need to expand production across various productive sectors, diversify and promote exports, and promote investment opportunities across the different economic sectors.BH/BH
