Amman, Sept. 8 (Petra)– The Jordan national football team is scheduled to play a friendly match against the Dominican Republic tomorrow, Tuesday, at 8:00 PM at the Amman International Stadium. The match comes as part of the team’s ongoing preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The coaching staff is looking to capitalize on these friendlies to fine-tune both the technical and physical aspects of the squad ahead of upcoming major competitions.
Jordan most recently played Russia in a goalless draw last Thursday, in another key step toward building form and cohesion.
The squad currently includes 29 players across all positions, as the team intensifies its preparations for two major upcoming tournaments: the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar and the 2026 World Cup, to be hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
