National Investment Authority Secretary-General Meets Delegation from Hong Kong Chinese Company

Khartoum, May 18, 2026 (SUNA) – Secretary-General of the National Investment Authority Ahlam Madani Mahdi on Sunday met at her office with a delegation from Hong Kong Chinese Company, owner of Mias Sazer Company, headed by the company’s Development Director Jason Jin. The meeting discussed investment opportunities, particularly in the mining sector. The secretary-general outlined Sudan’s investment opportunities, as well as the incentives and guarantees provided to investors under the Investment Law. She described Hong Kong Chinese Company as one of the major global firms operating in the mining sector, noting that the investment would positively contribute to Sudan’s economy as a form of direct foreign investment. Ahlam Madani Mahdi also stressed the importance of strengthening economic cooperation with China and attracting more companies capable of supporting economic growth and reconstruction efforts. She affirmed the National Investment Authority’s commitment to providing all guarantees, privileges, and facilities granted under the Investment Law, while noting the company’s commitment to the project’s social responsibility obligations.  For his part, Jason Jin said the company would operate in the copper and gold sectors, affirming its commitment to community responsibility and its intention to contribute to reconstruction projects in Sudan, transfer modern technologies, and train local personnel.BH/BH
