Amman, Dec. 17 (Petra) — National football team forward Yazan Al-Naimat has successfully undergone anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery after sustaining a knee injury during Jordan’s quarterfinal clash against Iraq at the ongoing Arab Cup in Qatar.
The procedure was performed on Wednesday at Aspetar Medical Center in Doha, one of the region’s leading sports medicine facilities, under the supervision of a specialized medical team.
According to team officials, the national team’s medical staff, in coordination with treating physicians, will soon determine a comprehensive rehabilitation and recovery program aimed at enabling Al-Naimat to return to competitive action as swiftly and safely as possible.
