The committee formed by decision of the Prime Minister to oversee Nile Poultry Company held its second meeting under the chairmanship of Minister of Federal Governance and Rural Development Engineer Mohamed Kortikela Saleh, with the participation of a number of ministers, walis, and senior officials to discuss ways of maximizing the company’s capabilities and strengthening its productive and social role. The meeting was attended by Minister of Finance Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Professor Ismat Gurashi, Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries Professor Ahmed Al-Tijani, Nile River Wali Dr. Mohamed Al-Badawi Abu Goroun, Northern State Wali Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Abdulhamid, the Undersecretary of Rural Development, and the Director General of Nile Poultry Company.  The participants underscored the importance of ensuring the continued operation of Nile Poultry Company, including all its branches and integrated units, in delivering its services, fulfilling its role in the production and social services sectors, and implementing its existing operational plans. The committee commended the report presented by the company’s Director General, Engineer Al-Mu’tasem Ahmed Al-Mustafa, who provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s current status and its financial, production, and service performance. The Director General reassured the public that the company would continue carrying out its mission with the same level of efficiency, stressing that Nile Poultry Company is one of the government’s successful enterprises that has achieved tangible results. Al-Mu’tasem explained that the company operates within the state’s comprehensive strategy for developing the livestock and agricultural sectors, noting that the outcomes of the committee’s ongoing meetings will contribute to the company’s development and serve the citizens of the Nile River and Northern states, as well as Sudan as a whole.
