Official website honoring late PM Hazza’ Majali launched

Amman, May 24 (Petra) – The official website of the late Prime Minister Hazza’ Majali, one of the kingdom’s most prominent founding statesmen, was launched on Saturday, in commemoration of his legacy and in celebration of the country’s 79th Independence Day.

The launch pays tribute to Majali’s significant sacrifices for Jordan’s independence and institution-building. He was assassinated in a bombing at the Prime Ministry building in 1960 while serving in office, becoming a national martyr.

The website https://hazzamajali.com features a comprehensive archive including his biography, political contributions, testimonials from contemporaries, and a collection of rare photos, documents, videos, and articles detailing his impactful career.

The initiative aims to introduce younger generations to one of the foundational pillars of the Jordanian state, highlight the contributions of national figures who helped shape the country alongside the Hashemites, and foster a deeper sense of national pride and identity.

Majali served in several senior government roles, including two terms as prime minister, and was widely respected for his patriotism, bravery, and commitment to preserving Jordan’s sovereignty. His legacy endures as a symbol of national dedication and leadership.
