Oil Prices Rise by About 7 Percent

Singapore, April 20 (QNA) – Oil prices rose by more than 7 percent on Monday after having fallen by more than 9 percent last Friday, as the Strait of Hormuz was closed again.

Brent crude futures climbed $6.56 per barrel, or 7.26 percent, to reach $96.94 a barrel.

US West Texas Intermediate crude rose to $89.92 per barrel, up $6.07, or 7.24 percent. (QNA)
