Aqaba, August 27 (Petra) – The Omani investment delegation from the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (SEZAD) on Wednesday concluded its visit to the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).
During a closing meeting, the delegation met with ASEZA Chairman Shadi Majali, and Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wadood Abu Omar, Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Investment.
The Omani delegation, which comprised SEZAD CEO Ahmed Akaak, and CEO of Tatweer Duqm, Abdullah al Wahaibi, continued its field tour of the ASEZA’s relevant directorates and Aqaba Development Company.
The delegation reviewed the work mechanisms, systems, procedures, and technical operations in the ASEZA’s various sectors and services, exchanged project success stories and expertise, and benefited from the joint “successful” experiences.
According to an ASEZA statement, the two sides discussed port procedures and mechanisms aimed to achieve future development and expansion.
The statement added that this discussion would enhance economic partnerships, open new horizons for the two countries’ economic and investment cooperation and serve their common interests.
