Muscat, April 15 (QNA) – Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi affirmed his country’s support for UN-led efforts aimed at prioritizing peaceful and diplomatic solutions and creating favorable conditions for regional dialogue among all parties, thereby contributing to de-escalation, confidence-building, and the restoration of security and stability to the region.
During his meeting with Personal Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General on the Middle East conflict Jean Arnault, who is visiting Oman, the two sides discussed the situation in the Middle East in general, and regional developments in particular, in light of the repercussions of the war in the region and the ongoing ceasefire. The meeting also discussed efforts to find solutions capable of bringing a definitive end to the conflict in the region across in all political, security, economic, and humanitarian dimensions.
The UN Envoy noted the role undertaken by Oman in supporting peace initiatives, mediation efforts, and the enhancement of regional stability. (QNA)
