Gaza, April 17 (QNA) – A Palestinian has been killed and several others injured following Israeli fire in the north of the Gaza Strip, according to local media reports.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA said Israeli forces opened machine-gun fire towards tents sheltering displaced people in the Tal Al Dhahab area of Beit Lahia, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.
The incident comes despite a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israeli occupation that came into effect in October last year.
However, reports indicate that Israeli forces have continued to carry out air and artillery strikes across multiple areas of Gaza, raising concerns about the durability of the truce and the safety of civilians in the territory. (QNA)
